Tube filling machines are multi purpose machines, designed so as to fill viscous and semi viscous products such
as ointments, cosmetics, toothpastes, adhesives, shaving creams etc. in plastic, laminated and metallic tubes. They are popular pharmaceutical filling machines. These machines are capable of handling different tube sizes and are also equipped with 'No tube no fill' feature. almost similar to the functioning of vial filling machines. There are manual, automatic and hgh speed tube filling machines used in the pharmaceutical industry.
Working of Tube Filler Machine
Machine is provided with hopper which is electrically jacketed, with thermostatic control to keep the material hot. Keeping the material hot is quite essential, as it allows for the smooth flow of material in tubes. Machine is also provided with stirring device, so that no active ingredients in the material can stick to the inner wall of hopper, which contains the material.
Bottom-up filling of tubes coupled with shut-off nozzles ensures accurate and clean filling without any air entrapment. Large number of tube filling and sealing machines use hot air sealing system for sealing plastic and laminated tubes. The output of these fillers varies, depending on the technical specifications.
Features of Tube Filling Machine:
- These machines are user friendly and enhances the productivity of customers.
- Quick release of the filling pump, quick adjustment of the pump column and automatic adjustment of the filling volume reduces the change over time.
- These machines are capable of handling products of various viscosities in jar containers, tube and bottles of different shape and size.
- Device known as Inert gas injection is also there to assist functionality before and after filling.
- Stopping of the machine in predetermined position.
