Capsule Fillers

Capsule Fillers or Capsule Filling Machines are used to fill hard gelatin and non gelatin capsules with pre- determined quantity of liquids, powders, pellets, tablets. Most machines conform to the GMP guidelines. Capsule Fillers are widely demanded pharmaceutical filling machines.

Capsule Filling Process

The working of the capsule filling machine is as follows:

  • Capsule loading
  • Capsule separation
  • Rejection of capsule disposal
  • Powder (Bulk) filling
  • Capsule locking (closing ) and
  • Lastly capsule ejection

Capsules are normally fed into the machine, the filler then aligns, opens and accurately fills each capsule and recloses. Fillers generate minimum dust with lowest level of product loss. Non separated, double loaded capsules and improperly inserted caps are automatically rejected by machines to maintain the the consistency in the quality of product.

Features of Capsule Filling Equipments
Most capsule filling equipments are characterised with fast changeover time to accommodate a variety of capsules in terms of shapes and size. These machines require minimal maintenance and are very easy to clean. Another important feature is the installation of speed adjusting equipment and automatic counters ensuring the right quantity of capsules being filled and packed. This pharmaceutical machine can adjusted to different speeds to fill different type of pellets, wheteher the machine is manual, semi or fully automatic.
