• Frame work made of round and rectangular tubes which are made of various materials like Iron, Steel, Aluminum, Machine Pressed Sheet, Chromium Plated, ERW Steel, CRC Tube etc.
• The frame work can be painted or powder coated like epoxy coating, polyester coating, nylon coating etc.
• It is mounted on four heavy duty wheels.
• It has efficient and accessible brakes
• The recovery trolley has a firm base and mattress.
• It tilts from one or both ends both head up and head down.
• Patient recover trolley is easy to manoeuvre.
• It has provision for sitting the patient up.
• It has secured side rails which must be able to be dropped below the base or be easily removed.
• It has provision for an IV pole
• It has provision for mounting monitoring equipment, apparatus for delivering oxygen, patient ventilation equipment, underwater seal drains and suction apparatus during transport of patients.
• Patient recover trolley can be operated by hydraulic pump or electrically or manually.

Some emergency recovery trolleys also have removable type radio-lucent top in two section for obtaining backrest and fitted with a cassette holding tray underneath.
