An article of furniture supported by one or more vertical legs and having a flat horizontal surface most suitable in use in rooms or office. It is often used to hold objects or food. There is a significant change in the modern design of the tables available now a days. A table specifically intended for working is a desk commonly used in study rooms, offices. Some tables have hinged extensions of the table top called drop leaves, while others can be extended with removable sections called leaves. Few tables have drawers too.
