White Marble

Pure white marble is rarest of all marbles and the most expensive. In crystal white marble, pure limestones without any kind of impurities are metamorphosed. White Marble in India

White marble in India is chiefly produced in Rajasthan along with Pink and Green colors. In the state of Rajasthan there are close to 2000 marble based industries that produce around 6.00 lac tones of marble slabs and blocks each year. Sawing and polishing are the associated industries seen in this state, which is the huge source of employment.

In this state there is the place called Makrana from where the white marble is obtained. Marble from here is also called Makrana marble. Also at Chancer the finest quality of white marble is produced. But because of excessive mining, the process of obtaining marble here has become less economical and also the quality of white marble is deteriorating. Owing to this new mining area in Udaipur district has been discovered that has huge deposits of white marble. Tripura Sundri (District Banswara) also has the vast white marble deposits. From here the grained marble, pure white, pinkish and yellowish marble are obtained.
