Marble fireplace is subjected to fire, smoke, soot, dust and other such unwanted elements. SO it is essential to clean the marble fireplaces regularly. Here are the few handy tips on marble fireplace care

Take the stiff fiber brush and gently scrub the surface of marble stone fireplace with non-fat and non-acidic detergent. After this clean it with water.
If you can still feel the stains on marble fireplace then cover the marble fireplace with poultice that is made by mixing baking soda or any other alkaline cleaner with liquid laundry bleach. Make the thick paste of it and cover the surface with this paste.
Cover this poultice with the clean damp white cloth and leave it overnight.
Remove the paste with spatula or any other wooden thing. Never use sharp object to remove this as it will form scratches on the marble fireplace.
For long and lustrous look you can also polish the marble fireplace. But occasionally it has been seen that color of the white marble fireplace changes with polishing.
