Spanish bayonets are blades adapted to fit the muzzle end of a rifle and used as a weapon in close combat. They were initially made with a handle that required to be fitted into the bore of the musket after the soldier had fired. Spanish bayonets are available in a number of variations, the basic model comprising of: wood grips, held on by two flush screw/nut sets; short crossguard, no muzzle-ring; steel pommel with push-button/internal-spring latch arrangement.
They are made by using the contemporary skills passed down from centuries and their usage is confined to as decorative items for homes & offices, for ceremonial purposes and for collectors.
