Gas Tungsten Arc Welder

The machine is used for Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW ), also known as TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding. It is a commonly used high quality welding process.

Working Principle
TIG welders or GTAW machines use a permanent non-melting electrode made of tungsten. An arc is formed between the tungsten electrode and the metal being welded. Gas is passed through a torch to shield the electrode and the molten weld bath. Filler metal is added separately, that makes the process very flexible. Welding can also be done without filler material.TIG welders use alternating current (AC) source. Direct current or DC source can also be used, but in rare cases.
