Stripping Value Apparatus

This apparatus is used to determine stripping value of bituminous mixture mixes having size 1.0 mm to 75 microns. It is also used to measure the resistance of bituminous mixture to stripping of bitumen from rock particles.

Salient Features

The important features and specification of Stripping Value Apparatus are :

• Here is a circular tray, which rotates in a vertical plane at a rate of approximately 100 revolutions per minute (r.p.m.) by an electrical geared motor.
• There are four bottles of approximately 400 cc that are mounted on the circular tray at an angle of 90º to each other with their mouths facing the center of the tray.
• The apparatus is provided with a time switch, which is suitable to operate on single phase A.C. supply.
