Density basket is a container that is used for measuring the specific gravity of aggregates as well as compacted and uncompacted bituminous mixtures and aggregates; and other materials. The basket can also be used to conduct density test on aggregates.

Salient Features

Generally, density basket is made of brass and is provided with stainless steel wire mesh.
The apparatus is ruggedly constructed with wire mesh arrangement and have approximately 20 cm diameter and height 20 cm.
The basket is provided with a handle.
