A concrete mixer, also known as a cement mixer is an equipment that creates a homogeneous mixture of various materials including cement, aggregate such as sand or gravel, and water to form concrete. A concrete mixer generally makes use of a revolving drum to mix the components/ materials. There are also available portable cement mixers for smaller volume of work. They are commonly used so that the concrete can be prepared at the construction site itself, giving the workers sufficient time to use the concrete before it hardens.

These mixers are generally electrically operated.
The equipment consists of a revolving counter balance drum for easy mixing of materials.
The apparatus is equipped with a high torque electric motor and a thermal overload switch.
The equipment is installed on strong rubber tyre stand.
These mixers has simple operated drive system, which ensure fast mixing.
There is a provision in the drum for end discharge of mixed materials.
There are also available portable concrete mixers to transport mixed cement to hard-to-reach locations or areas inaccessible with large equipment.
