Abrasion testers are used to determine the abrasion resistance of paint or other coatings to sand or other particles. They can also be used to determine resistance of organic coatings applied to a plane or rigid surface. These testers evaluate the washability and related properties that effect scrub resistance of coatings.

Salient Features
The important features of abrasion testers are:

The equipment consists of two brush holders for conducting side by side testing.
Provided with a air cooled electric motor.
Consist of a preset counter for activating the machine for preset number of strokes and then switching it off.
The machine is provided with a peristaltic fluid lamp.
Paint solutions are pumped to the brush heads from the detachable container mounted to the side of the tester.
