Hot Rolling Mills

Hot rolling mills are deployed for metal working process that are carried out above recrystallization temperature of the material. The grains of the metals are deform during the process, this prevents the metal from the effects of hardening. 

 

Raw material used for hot tolling is mostly large pieces of metal, like semi-finished casting products, such as slabs, billets and bloom. For continous casting operation, the raw or starting material is directly into the rolling mills at the proper temperature. In smaller operations the processing of raw material starts at room temperature and must be heated consistently.
