Engine Bearing

Traditional rod and main bearing construction is based upon three layer configuration composed of steel backing, copper-lead layer and a thin overlay of babbitt material or just two layers, a high strength steel backing plus a bonded layer of "Alecular" bearing material. Alecular is an alloy of aluminum, tin, copper and several other elements. It maintains its properties throughout its entire depth, delivering consistent and reliable performance.

Engine bearing assemblies consist of a heavy-duty needle roller bearing mounted on a shaft. The bearings have a full complement of needle rollers for maximum load capacity and durability. All components are optimized to achieve maximum performance in a specific engine. They have high stiffness and low mass properties.
