Applications of Acrylonitrile-butadiene Rubber or Nitrile Rubber (NBR)
There are mainly two applications for extruded profiles made from Acrylonitrile-butadiene Rubber or Nitrile Rubber (NBR). They are in the following two segments.

Automotive Applications
In applications of automotive segment NBR is preferred in seals, fuel and oil handling hose, grommets, and other water handling applications. The advantage lies in the fact that NBR can sustain severe automotive applications, with a temperature handling range of –400C to +1250C.

Industrial Application
NBR finds application in roll covers, hydraulic hoses, seals for various kinds of plumbing or appliance applications.
