Equal elbows are quick-connect fittings that are extremely helpful in routing water lines that are laid in confined areas. They are known as 'elbow fittings' because they display an angular bent so that two pipes can be easily fixed in the same manner.

An elbow fitting has a hard poly-ethylene tubing that prevents kinking in tight corners. It basically has M3 and M5 threaded ends which are designed to be hand tightened. This product is made up of following components :

Body
Threaded stem adaptor
'O' Rings
Collet

They come in a host of sizes such as :

1/2" equal elbow ; Fits 1/2" OD Tubing
1/4" pex equal elbow ; Fits 1/4" OD Tubing
5/16" Elbow Equal ; Fits 5/16" OD Tubing
3/8" Equal Elbow ; Fits 3/8" OD Tubing

They have found varied usages in :

Mains fed and indirect cold water systems.
Vented and unvented hot water systems.
Vented and sealed central heating systems.
