Infrared Brazing

The radiant heat of the infrared heat which is obtained below the red rays in the spectrum is the main source of Infrared brazing. This source is a ring of high-powered lamps. In order to enable the energy to collide with the assemblies to be brazed, these are supported in a particular position.

The brazing parts are placed which is in close contact with the lamps, may be in a retort which can be easily be evacuated or filled with an inert gas. Considered to be one of the most trusted methods applied for producing high-pressure copper-alloy silver-brazed pipe connections especially needed in the hidden or inaccessible joint areas.

Infrared brazing joining process generally make use of a low voltage & high a-c power for electric resistance heating. This particular method provides an effective way to inhibit the growth of inter metallics at the interface between the braze alloy and substrate.
