Applications of Brazing
Brazing is an important process used for manufacturing industrial machinery parts and tools. The air conditioning and refrigeration industry are also among the set of industries that depend on brazed alloy tools. The refrigeration engineering and air conditioner technology – both of these are involved in a number of small and large brazed equipments like the tubes & pipes made of different metals and materials. Since these equipments require joining techniques to suit all kinds of metals and components, brazing the the perfect process that suits all the materials and provides with clean, smooth and strong joints.
Number of classroom sessions and on-job training is required to be able to work on brazing processes required for joining the components in the refrigeration industry, as it requires joining the components in a closed circuit containing the refrigerant which essentially have to be absolutely leak proof.
A lot of brazed components are used in air conditioners and refrigeration industry. Some of the systems where brazing is used are the condensers , radiators, copper wires for coolants, cooling systems, and water boilers. Each of these have been explained separately, in detail.
