Block Brazing
Share |

Block brazing is an important brazing process wherein the formation of a particular bonding takes place when heat is obtained from heated blocks which are later on applied to the parts needed to be joined by a nonferrous filler metal having a melting point above 427°C (800°F). Capillary attraction distributes the filler metal in the joint.
Block Brazing Machine
The brazing machine is used for carrying out block brazing process. A well used technique involving application of heated blocks to the joint, the required heat for the bonding procedure is acquired from the heat from the blocks placed in close proximity to the parts being brazed.
Brazing Process
As we know, materials are fused with the help of heat which is smoothly obtained from the heated blocks when carefully applied to the parts needed to be brazed. It even makes use of a non ferrous filler material having not more than 427°C melting point than that of the base material. Using capillary action, the entire filler metal is evenly distributed in the joint.
Uses & Applications
There are some vital applications of the block brazing machine which have been largely divided into the following :
-
Metallurgical applications
-
Joining metals such as steel, aluminum to name a few
-
Automotive applications
-
Applying coating to metal parts
