Ceramic water filter contains one ceramic filter element called Diatomaceous Earth made up of small silicon shells. It is basically the pore size of this element that defines the purity of water after filtration in this home water filter. The size of the pore keeps the dust, bacteria and debris out of the water you get for drinking after passing through ceramic water filter or ceramic drinking water filter. These types of water filters are basically of two types. pot types water filter and candle type water filter. This is attached to the receptacle below to collect water.

Ultraviolet Water Filters

If your water is contaminated by bacteria or other living microorganisms then use Ultraviolet water filter as the UV rays when made to fall on water, kill all living organism present in it. In Ultraviolet water filters high frequency lights are used to enlighten the water through glass element. Although this system is fantabulous yet you cannot be sure whether it is working or not. In Ionized water filters the the chemical ionization process occurs. The alkaline water has antitoxin properties and used for drinking purposes whereas acidic water is used for bathing purposes. All this happens in the stage two. Reverse Osmosis

If you want the most effective drinking water filter then there is nothing better than reverse osmosis filters. This water filter is quiet expensive but gives the highest level of protections. Reverse osmosis water filters are mostly installed in big companies, hospitals and offices. In the reverse osmosis process the water is forced to move from high concentration to low concentration across the semi permeable membrane. Very small reverse osmosis water filters are also available in the market that can be used at homes as home water filter. These are called RO.
