Submersible Pump - The Most Efficient Pump for Draining Oil
There is an outstandingly intimate relation between submersible pump and oil draining. Oil production can not dispense withsubmersible pumps. It is the only pump that delivers constant elevation and is capable of operating at the wide range of flow rates and depths by dint of lowering the pressure inside the well, resulting into the significant production of oil from the well. Actually pumping of the oil from a well requires one or another type of lifting technology so that increment in the flow of oil can be acquired.
As a matter of fact that around 20 per cent of oil wells are pumped with the help of some or the other form of electric submersible pumps across the world. Electric submersible pumps are the most reliable, efficient, and popular sort of artificial lift pumping technology. These pumps are deemed workhorse and depth exponent among oil lifting systems. Electric submersible pump is the most versatile, because the pump can deal with almost complete gamut of flow rates, ranging from 70 barrels per day to 64000 and capacity to deliver mammoth elevation spanning from nought to 15000 feet of lifting. ESP can pump incessantly as well as intermittently, since it can easily be adjusted to both automation and control system. Electrical submersible pump is also the economical pumping system. Even water dearth can not lay a detrimental effect on the performance of the pump that can be installed in horizontal, vertical, and diagonal wells, but one thing to be noted that the pump should be placed in a straight manner of casing in order to get excellent operational performance.
Electrical submersible pump embodies inlet at the bottom and outlet at the top, is powered by electric motor that is airtight, containing in the pump body. ESP sports gas separator that has enhanced the performance of the pump further and allows to render a large volume of oil or gas. Electrical submersible pumps employ a high voltage AC power source that differs from 3 to 5 kilo volts. Electric motor that is able to operate at high pressure as well as at high temperature and allows to pump oil from deep wells. ESP technology has established a supreme reputation as a reasonable maintenance and cost effective alternative in oil & petroleum industry. There are several dominating factors such as the wide distribution of the wells in the field, production with high water cut at the wells, leak-free, low surface profile system, compatible with environmental sensitivity and safety in unmanned location. which make submersible pump the most preferred choice for the field.
