Carpentry safety tips to avoid accidental injury

Any kind of hand works involving sharp tools need many attention and care. Carpentry works could be life taking or leave you handicap if you do not follow safety measures. If you follow the carpentry safety procedures, very easily you can avoid accidents with the tools. There are no specific carpentry safety rules but it is always a good idea to use a carpentry safety glass when in work. - Check if your work station is cleaned properly. Make sure to remove any oily materials or scraps from the place. The floor should be completely dry, properly lit and avoid flammable objects near the place. Keep the fire extinguishers and alarms ready for precaution.

 

- Do not forget to keep the safety equipment like: eye glasses, hand gloves, anti-conductor shoes, face mask etc ready and accessible. Avoid wearing jewelries and synthetic dress, instead go for tight cotton clothing and safety attires if necessary. Make sure not to wear any flowing dress which might get caught in fire.

 

- Using the right tool or machinery is the prime concern. Make sure to take advise from the professionals on how to use any specific hand tool. Read the safety usage instruction properly. Do not forget to inspect the tools before using. In case of emergency, disconnect the power supply line immediately.
