Electronic Industries Association of India(ELCINA)

Electronic Industries Association of India was formed in 1967, and formerly known as Electronic Component Industries Association. It was the time when India's electronic industry took birth. Since it has been established it is known for being an interactive forum for electronics and IT manufacturers. ELCINA is involved in networking with national & international technical institutions and business promotion bodies to promote the interest of its members. It works with the objective of encouraging hardware manufacturers by progressively projecting and suggesting it to the government.Being India's oldest and biggest electrical association, it has always been known for focusing on promoting electronic components manufacture – the building blocks of the industry. It has involved itself in performing various activities for the developing the whole electronic & hardware sector comprising of components & assemblies, consumer electronics, telecom, IT, industrial/professional, defence/strategic electronics and other emerging areas like medical and automobile electronics, embedded systems and hardware design.

For efficient acceleration of growth it works to promote the similar interest of electronic hardware manufacturers with electronic material manufacturers. Creating awareness amongst manufacturers for issues which highly impact the electrical industry such as policies and environmental developments, drawing up of agenda for the government and the industry.

Membership
ELCINA's membership base is widely spread all over the country representing companies in the public, joint and private sectors consisting of multinationals and state funded promotional bodies. It provides a number of services to its members such as being a medium of interaction between the government and industry and networking with key decision making bodies with quick and effective representation to government and effective regulation of the policy.
