Door Hinges
Mortise Hinge is a special type of hinge and the body of this type of hinge is entirely concealed when the door or flap to which is attached is closed. The two sides of this type of hinge are in mortises cut into the side of the door and the frame. The pivoting action arises from steel prongs which run between the two sides.
Mortise door hinges are suitable for use on flush and lay-on doors. These hinges have an opening angle of 180 degrees and there is no projecting knuckle piece. Mortise hinges are also perfect for concertina-type doors. Mortise hinges are available with ball tips and can have round or square corner. Screws to complement the hole and finish are provided with mortise hinges.
