Flushing system or toilte flushing system commonly refers to human waste flushing mechanism. Toilet flush system consists of the drainage pipes that work for flushing the human waste. Different kinds of pipe bends are used to facilitate the flushing mechanism in use. These drain pipes are connected to the waste treatment systems and work as a barrier for waste sewer gases to travel to the homes.
It is a common perception that buyers choose bathroom fittings according to the beauty and outlook of the product as all toilets work with the same functionality and quality. But with a wide array of bathroom fittings to choose from, homeowners are spoilt for options. High end flushing systems are highly sophisticated mechanisms, which are far more effective and less water consuming than the regular flushing systems available in the market. These days, consumption of water is also a very important criteria that people look at while selecting a flushing system. Green bathroom have eco friendly toilet flushing systems that are effective in reducing the water consumption by almost 20-30 percent.
Types of Toilet Flushing Systems
There is a huge variety and types of toilet systems in the modern markets. The two broad categories of toilets happen to be the pressure flush systems and the gravity flush systems. But apart from these two there are other types too. Let's look at some of the most popular designs in toilet flushing systems.
Gravity Flush System
A gravity flush system is the one that uses the gravitational power to flush the waste. This is the simplest form of flushing mechanisms in use and is also one of the oldest. This particular style of toilet flushing system uses the water weight, along with gravity, to generate flushing pressure. The pressure forces everything from the tank into the bowl and through the S-shaped trap way. A siphoning action completes the flush. This flushing system is quieter and requires less maintenance than a pressure-assisted flushing system. But at the same time a gravity fed flushing system consumes a lot of water. With changing times and a need for attention to environmental issues, less water consuming flushing systems have been invented, which are far better and convenient.
Pressure-assisted Flush System
This kind of toilet flushing system is more common these days as compared to the other systems. Pressurize assisted flushing system uses the air pressure that force the water from the tank into the bowl. A balloon like diaphragm is used to create this pressure and push the water into the bowl when flushed. This flow rate is much higher than that of the gravity fed toilet flushing systems and reduce the chances for clogging. However they are extremely noisy, expensive than gravity flushing systems and require a replacement every ten years.
Dual Flush System
A dual flush system is a relatively new concept that allows the user a choice of limiting the flow of water. The dual flushing system has two separate flushing buttons that are marked with a half tank and a full tank sign. This allows the consumer to choose a lesser flow of water for liquid wastes and a full tank water flow for solid wastes. The system is effective at saving water too.
Eco Friendly Flushing System
Eco friendly flushing systems are also in use these days. They are effective tools to use water in flushing mechanisms and systems. A few brands like Kohler and Toto are offering a few models of eco friendly toilet flush systems, but the trend is yet to catch up.

Toilet Flush Designs
Apart from the core functionality of the toilet and bathroom flush systems, there is a development in the toilet and bathroom flush designs also. Style and sleek shapes is an important criteria for many while selecting flushing bathroom fittings. Beauty is always a primary concern for many of the buyers, along with technology evolution, the toilet flushing system designs have also evolved. The water closet flushing tank styles are usually two piece flush fitting which are often sleek and stylish, They consume less space and are available in compact shapes and designs. One piece tanks and bowls are a little more space consuming that the two piece sets. The two piece sets are also more suitable to the traditional bathrooms. Wall hung is the new craze in modern bathroom trends. Glaze technology is available that allows cleaner toilets in general.
But regular and traditional designs always have the flushing pipes visible from them. A few of the modern age designs are producing flushing system, in which the trap ways are often hidden in the wall. Such flush fittings are neat looking flush settings with easy cleaning and smooth edges. Similarly the wall hung style is also a trendy style in toilet fittings these days. Usually the designs and shapes available in wall hung toilet fittings are sleek and slender.
