Bath tubs have become an essential part of contemporary bathrooms. The large container can hold enough water for a convenient and relaxing bath. There are heavy bathtubs crafted from cast iron having durable finish. Acrylic reinforced with fiberglass is the other preferred material, it is light and easy to mold. These are available in more intricate designs with superior finishing.

Bath tubs are mostly used as stand-alone fixture installed in the corner of the bathroom. Most of the tubs have overflow or waste drain and attached tap mounted on the top. They are often used in conjunction with shower. Traditionally bathtubs have a rectangular shape.
