An Air bag is a flexible membrane or covering that is inflatable and contain air or some other gas. They are usually placed on both driver and passenger sides. Air bags are said to reduce the death risk by about 30% in head on collisions. If a vehicle collides with something, airbags can inflate in less than tenth of a second and protect passengers from forces of the head-on collision.
