Car Spoilers: The Stabilizers
Share |

Spoilers refer to the wing like structure mounted either on the back of the car or just beneath the bumper in the front. Besides, being an extremely chic car accessory, spoilers also serve an integral purpose of disrupting any non-favorable air movement from the vehicle body, making it more reliable and fuel-efficient. The main purpose of installing spoilers is to control the aerodynamics of the car. Aerodynamic drag increases with the increase in car speed.
Car spoilers are available in various styles and shapes. One can go for lip spoilers, high hooped spoilers, supra styled spoilers and many such other options as per the make and model of the car. Generally, the spoilers are made up of lightweight materials like fiberglass or polyurethane. These flexible and durable materials doesn't let the spoilers sag or crack. Certain high quality spoilers are made up of combination materials which are high resistant to temperature and other unfavourable impacts.
Looks shouldn't be the only consideration while buying car spoilers, as spoilers mainly break the air flow against the car body, making it highly stable on road by reducing the lift and increasing the traction of the car. Hence a good spoiler is one which reduces the lift and increases traction. There has to be utmost contact among the tire and the road so that the car can brake turn and speed up with more stability.
