Cheese cloth is a very handy kitchen linen. As they were originally used in the preocess of making cheese, they got their name as "cheesecloth". Made of high density cotton fibre it is a multipurpose linen. It can be used both for domestic as well as commercial purpose.
Types of Cheese Cloth

Fine Cheese Cloth - Used to drain soften cheese, yogurt, and butter.

Coarse Cheese Cloth - Used for draining curd, lining cheese shaping moulds and cheese press.
The differences in the various types of cheesecloths can be understood through the concept of cheese cloth grades.
Cheese Cloth Grades
Cheese cloths are made different cheesecloth grades. Each of these grade is meant for different application. Grades of a cheese cloth are differentiated by the number of vertical X horizontal threads per inch. Broad categorization of cheesecloth grades can be stated as - open weaves, finer weaves, extra fine weaves.
