Needlefelt Carpets

Needle felt carpets are the most technologically advanced carpets, manufactured by electrostatic attraction of individual fibers. The carpets are beautiful, attractive and fanciful and are widely used in big hotels, restaurants and resorts. They can be also installed in residential homes to add personality to the room. These carpets redefine luxury and are available in all shapes sizes and colors.

 

 

Needle felt carpets are easy to maintain and clean. The grimes are not visible and the carpets look afresh after every cleaning. They are the modern form of the carpet and are highly durable. The synthetic fibers like nylon, polypropylene, BCF etc are used for its construction.

 

The manufacturing process involves the compressing of the fibers with the needles. Binding agent is used to fix this compression. One or several layers can form one Needle-pile carpet. The carpet is given an extra protection by equipping it with different types of backings like textile backing, foam, heavy coating and son. To make binding strong and lasting, the needled substrate is subsequently subjected to further thermal or chemical treatment.
