Cut pile carpet- a soft carpet comprises yarns, cut at the ends, leaving behind individual tufts of fiber. . Featuring clipped yarn loops, the carpet consists of soft, dense cut pile with well-defined individual tuft tips. Cut pile carpet is one of the most used residential carpets. It also, finds its applications in commercial installations but the share of residential installation is more. Cut pile carpet is durable carpet and its durability rests on the durable fibers chosen for its construction. Durability can also be enhanced by having a high density of fiber tufts and increasing the amount of twist in the fiber.

 

Manufacturing
Cut Pile is manufactured by cutting off loop tops for creating pile which stands upright with an even surface, to create a smooth, comfortable and luxurious look and feel. Cut pile carpet like other carpet is constructed in loops but machine-cutting converts loop into cut pile. While choosing the pile carpet, density of the pile should be taken into account. Carpet with high density pile works better than carpet with low density pile.
