Fabrics
Chiffon is a fine, semi-sheer fabric that has a heavier feel than our tulle and drapes beautifully. Chiffon is elegant and sheer, with a very slightly rough feel to it. Chiffon is lightweight (Chiffon is French for 'Rag'), but strong. Chiffon is softer and thinner than Georgette, sometimes called 'Crepe Chiffon'. Georgette is made like chiffon, but a two or three ply yarn is used.

 

Designs & Motifs
Chiffon shawls are sometimes plan with a beaded or fringe edge or decorated with beads. Embroidered shawls may be embroidered with the same color thread as the fabric or with bright contrasting threads. As far as the different style prints are considered, bold graphics that include flowers of all shapes and sizes, circular patterns and geometric shapes are highly preferred. These are also transformed into an un-forgetful piece with the help of applique, beads, or sequins.
