The upper lid has a mirror on its inner surface.
A strong handle is attached to the outside of the upper lid.

The inner lining is velvet or velor.
Leather buckle straps or locks or numbered locks to provide safety.
In some boxes, the front flap of the lower half opens out to allow the trays to be pulled out.
Insignia is embossed on the outer lid.
