The voluntary Cultured Pearl Quality Inspection & Tag system is JPEA's privatized section which has substituted the mandatory Japanese Government Inspection Office. The precious Pearls have to meet the set standards which are later affixed with tags or stickers marked with The Cultured Pearl Quality Standards of Japan, thus, proving their authenticity.
