A table cloth is primarily used for covering a table with the aim of protecting it from being stained, scratched, or damaged by hot utensils. However, table cloths are now serving the purpose of decoration too. Here are some tips for proper selection of table cloths.

A variety of fabric types are used for making table clothes. Buy those which are made up of absorbent and durable fabrics such as cotton and linen.
Linen fabric is smooth, soft and lustrous. It is ideal for any table linen, especially table cloths and napkins. However, it wrinkles easily and therefore needs more care.
If you want to have a table cloth which can be cared for easily, then opt for those which are made of synthetic blends. They don't need ironing after they are washed.
