Guar Rice

This variety of rice was notified in 1976. It is mainly grown in the irrigated areas of Gujrat. There are 3 main varieties of Guar Rice. These are :

Guar-10
  • This variety takes about 120 days to grow.
  • The plant height is semi dwarf (95 cm).
  • The grain is long slender.
  • It is susceptible to blast.
  • Its yield is 50-52 quintals/hectare.

Guar-11
  • This variety takes about 125 days to grow.
  • The plant height is semi dwarf (95 cm)
  • The grain is medium slender.
  • It is susceptible to blast.
  • Its yield is 50-55 quintals/hectare.

Guar-100
  • This variety takes about 130 days to grow.
  • The plant height is semi dwarf (110 cm).
  • The grain is medium slender.
  • It is susceptible to blast.
  • Its yield is 50-55 quintals/hectare.
