• Della rice is an aromatic rice native to the United States.
• This rice is a cross between the basmati rice and the long grain rice.
• When cooked, this rice expands. However, cooked kernels are not as long and slender as basmati because the grains, when cooked, swell in both length and width, like regular long grain rice.
• It cooks dry and separate.
• It has an aroma of roasted nuts and a natural flavor similar to basmati.
• It can be used in Casseroles, Pilafs and is a good replacement of Italian rice.
