Canadian Agriculture Safety Association (CASA)
Canadian Agriculture Safety Association is devoted to developing the health and safety of farmers, their families and workers. It is a national organization which works in partnership with agricultural safety & health specialists and producers in all regions to delegate more health & safety on Canadian farms and ranches. CASA is also known for giving national leadership and instructions for agricultural health and safety and thereby reduce injuries and their negativities on farmers and their families.
CASA works as a national health & safety starter and a service provider which is headed by a team of Board of Directors and a membership base council including individuals, organizations, governments and corporations. It is always ready to shut the gap between how safe farmers think themselves to be and safe they actually are. CASA facilitates evaluative research and safety resource development, promotes safe farm operations and management, builds sector capacity to implement safety on farms. It also manages operations and service delivery by providing national stewardship.
Membership
CASA invites everyone to be a part of it and support national agricultural health & safety initiatives and services, so that producers can find ways to manage risks in their workplace. Members of CASA are also a part of a Canadian network of researchers, instructors, trainers, health professionals, producers and government officials. CASA members play a vital role in minimizing agricultural injuries.
The opinions & suggestions of members help this association to make appropriate plans. CASA members can also become a part of CASA's council. Resource and training information is first delivered to CASA members. Every year the association organizes a conference in which it invites its members to share their opinions and views.
