Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (AAEA)
Agriculture & Applied Economics Association (AAEA) is a non profit association whose main objective is to serve the general professional interest of its members engaged in agriculture and similar fields of applied economics. Academic or government institutions, non profit organizations who are engaged in teaching, research, extension or outreach activities have the responsibility of employing AAEA members. Economics of agriculture, international and rural development, resources and the environment,food and consumer issues and agribusiness are the important topics on which they address their work.
AAEA looks forward towards being the leading organization for professional advancement and also a source for dissemination of knowledge about agriculture, development, nature and its resources, food and consumer, regions, rural and associated areas of applied economics and business. Its mission is to enhance the skills, knowledge, and professional contributions of economists who help society solve agricultural, development, environmental, food and consumer, natural resource, regional, rural, and associated applied economics and business problems.
Membership
Any professional involved in the field of agriculture and applied economics can become a member of AAEA. Membership with AAEA will provide you with certain benefits such as networking opportunities, outstanding publications, professional recognition, scholarship enhancement and reputation building. Members of AAEA enjoy the right to elect officers, serve as leaders of sections, or participate in committees which will provide the content for the meetings. They have the advantage of advancing the forthcoming opportunities by being the host of critical matters.
